Harrison Randolph “Rand” Christy, III, age 80, a resident of Dothan passed away January 17, 2025 at Extendicare Health Center.
A private family and friends service will be held at a later date.

Rand was born on August 6, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to U.S. Air Force Colonel Harrison Randolph Christy, Jr. and Catherine Willard Justice Christy. Rand lived in many places growing up and as an adult including Germany, England, Scotland, France, and the United States. He attended Gordonstoun School in his early years in Scotland, Dothan High School his senior year, and college years at Birmingham Southern. Rand was a historian and worked in administration for the Department of Agriculture, the Hariri Foundation and other non profit organizations.
Rand is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include several cousins and friends.
