KINSEY. . .Hazel Cochran Adams, a resident of Kinsey, passed away late Wednesday night, February 18, 2026, in a Dothan hospital. She was 94.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, February 21, 2026, in the Ashford City Cemetery with Reverend Gary Stringfellow officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Adams was born and raised in Houston County, daughter of the late Sam Cleveland Cochran and Reanie Anderson Cochran. She lived in Kinsey most of her adult lifetime. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Adams, a son, James Allen Adams, sisters, Ruth Pitts Ward and Myra Esther Ready Adams, and a brother, Jack Cochran.

Surviving relatives include her son, Gaylon Cochran, Kinsey; several nieces and nephews including, Shirley Ready Smith (Joseph), Myra Ready Mathis (Larry), Geraldine Anderson, Joann Stringfellow (Gary), Brenda Sykes (Ronnie), and special great-nieces, Holly Norrell (Allon) and Donna Clements (Dwayne).
