BLAKELY, GA… Henzy Lee Bristow, (Jimmy, HenDog, Pops) a resident of Blakely, Georgia passed away Thursday night, August 20, 2026, at a Dothan hospital. He was 69.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Larry Sowell officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Bristow was born in Colquitt, Georgia to the late Pearlie Bristow and Mary Rowell Bristow. He was a 1974 graduate of Early County High School. He stated he was the strongest man in Early Co. He was a truck driver until he was medically retired. Many times he spoke of hauling hogs for John Mosley. He farmed many acres of land in Georgia. He was an avid Georgia Football Fan. He loved his donuts, coffee, Captain D’s, and Chow King.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Diane Cherry Bristow; his sister Mary K. Samuel, his daughter, Courtney Wimberly Smith; his sons, Shandrae Wimberly (Natasha), Daryle Pinkey (Deborah) and Travis Townsend (Keisha); his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
