Herman Lambert
Mr. Herman Lambert, age 89, died Friday December 12, 2025, in Hoover, Alabama at the home of his son and daughter-in-law.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. (EST) on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the Ausmus Cemetery in Speedwell, Tennessee with his Grandson Reverend Aaron Johnson officiating and Walters Funeral Home in LaFollette, Tennessee directing.
The family will be receiving family and friends at Walters Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
Mr. Lambert was born on October 6, 1936, in Speedwell, Tennessee, the son of William Pryor Lambert and Rachel Owens Lambert. He grew up with 11 siblings in Speedwell, TN. Herman loved nature, family, music, and basketball. He was very adventurous and visited 39 States during his lifetime. Mr. Lambert was a value member of Duke Power Company before retiring and he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jay, Dewitt (Curly), Lee and Denny Lambert; sisters, Carol Edwards, Ann Goins and Paulette Pebley.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kathryn White Lambert; daughter and son-in-law, Lourie and Vernon Johnson; 5 grandchildren, William Lambert, Laney Lambert, Vinson Johnson, Mary Reagan Fulbright and Aaron Johnson; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Keith and Bill Lambert; 2 sisters, Peggy King and Martha Lambert.
Pallbearers will be William Lambert, Laney Lambert, Vinson Johnson, Tim Morrow, Charles Bronson and Jeff Hollingsworth.
