Houston County sits at #6 on the list for jobs created in 2024 in Alabama, touting 280 new jobs.
Providers include Amazon, Inline Electric Supply Co. Inc., Southern Roots Nut Co. and at expansion to Dothan Warehouse.
In rural counties, Covington County also sits at #6 with 110 jobs created from Conecuh Sausage.
The information comes from the New and Expanding Industry Announcements report released by the Alabama Department of Commerce on Monday, with 8,500 new jobs around the state.
