On Monday, March 3, 2025, state contractors will begin an ALDOT project to improve the intersection of Ross Clark Circle and US-231 South / S. Oates Street.
Upgrades to the intersection will include turn lane extensions, median modifications, and a new traffic signal. In addition to improving turning movement capacity, this project will also prepare the intersection for future projects to widen Ross Clark Circle in this area.
This project is expected to last approximately three months and should be complete by early Summer 2025.
On Monday, contractors will install lane shifts to allow room for construction of extended turn lanes that will impact traffic flow through this area. The lane shifts are likely to remain in place throughout the project.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution and expect delays if traveling in this area.
