WEBB, ALABAMA. . .James David Wade, a resident of Houston County, near Webb, Alabama, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 24, 2025, in a Dothan hospital. He was 94.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 29, 2025, in the Webb Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Sumerlin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M Monday in the church sanctuary. Entombment, with military honors, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, in the Durden Family Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 2403 Harrison Avenue, Panama City, Florida. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Webb Baptist Church, P.O. Box 70, Webb, AL 36376.

David Wade was born and raised near Webb, son of the late George Randall Wade and Lulabelle North Wade. He was a 1949 graduate of Houston County High School in Columbia. Mr. Wade served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War era. He was a member of Webb Baptist Church. Mr. Wade was retired as the owner and operator of Wade Tractor Company in Dothan, a John Deere dealership that he co-founded with his brother, Haywood Wade. An avid Auburn fan, he enjoyed watching Auburn football and basketball. Mr. Wade was preceded in death by a son, David Allen Wade, two brothers, Haywood Wade and Marcus Wade and sisters-in-law, Linda Johnson and Gayle Watson Wade.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Martha Williams Wade; a step-son, Michael Durden, Panama City, FL; nieces, Angelia Wade Turner (Cal), Vicki Wade Davis (David), and Amanda Wade Henderson, nephews, Vince Wade (Michelle), Ron Johnson and Roger Johnson; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Johnson; several great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Serving as active pall bearers will be Vince Wade, Andy Wade, Tanner Wade, Cody Wade, Roger Johnson, Ron Johnson and Bruce Gamble.

The family would  especially like to thank Dr. Donavon Wewers and his staff for the love and care that has been provided over the many years.
