JAYNE JORDAN DROWN
DOTHAN… Jayne Jordan Drown, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Terrace at Grove Park. She was 84.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 17, 2026, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, with Reverend Norman C. Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Headland, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Challenge to Build Fund, 2506 SR-134, Headland, Alabama 36345.
Mrs. Drown was born in Columbia, Alabama to the late Vernon Coleman Jordan and Lula Myrtice Cain Jordan. She lived in the Headland, Alabama area most of her life. She was a graduate of the Headland High School Class of 1959, where she was the salutatorian of the class. She worked and retired from AAA Cooper as a rate analyst. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill “BJ” Drown; her son, Tim Norris; and her grandson, Cole Norris.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughters, Sonja Skipper (Phillip) and Beth Tinnell (Chris); her sister, Joyce Jarrett; her grandchildren, Kerri Skipper (Brandon), Darcy Luloff (Mark), Derron Skipper (Shelby), Houston Tinnell, Hudson Tinnell, and Mattie Tinnell; her great-grandchildren, Makayla, Preston, Landon, Chloe, Raiden, Bradley and Emmi; and her great-great-grandchild, Carson.
