
Jean Holman, 66, of Dothan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Southeast Health.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Jean was born on September 18, 1959, in Birmingham, Alabama to John Coleman and Jerre Louise Wilson. She graduated from Carroll High School in 1977 and went on to attend Wallace Community College where she earned her Registered Nursing degree. Jean retired from Southeast Health after twenty-five years of dedicated service. Jean was a member of the Broken Crayons, Eastern Star Lodge #493 of Ashford, and Memphis Baptist Church.
Many knew her as “Mama Jean.” She was deeply loved by many and became a steady source of encouragement, guidance, and strength to those who were blessed to know her. Jean had a special way of showing up for people in their most difficult seasons, offering compassion, hope, and unwavering support. Her kindness, warmth, and caring spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by many.
Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Jerre Louise Wilson; her father, John C. Wilson; and her brother, Joseph Wilson Smith; stepmother, Jane Gibson Wilson.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Holman; her brothers, John Coleman Wilson III of California, Doug Phillips of Dothan; stepbrother, Bill Gibson (Candy) of Jasper; her daughter, Kristin Myers (Tim) of Dothan; her son, Jordan Holman of Texas; and her cherished grandchildren, Peyton Myers and Kameron Myers; sister in law, Simone Smith; nieces, Jenna Wilson, Jillian Backen (Lucas), Heidy Swank; nephews, Grant Gibson (Susannah) Gains Gibson (Alyssa), Deric Smith; and a host of many extended family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Southeast Health for the care, support, and kindness shown to Jean and her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Glover Funeral Home, P O Box 888, Dothan, Alabama 36302, to assist with funeral expenses.
Jean’s legacy of love, strength, and devotion to those she cared about will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
