Mr. Jerry L. Poole of Dothan passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the age of 82,
Funeral services for Mr. Poole will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the Piney Grove Baptist Church in Cottondale, Florida with Revered Don Scurlock officiating.
Mr. Poole was born September 23, 1943 in Florida to the late Rufus and Edrice Poole. He was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church in Cottondale, Fl. and served in the Army. Jerry spent most of his working career in construction, retiring from Porter Construction in Marianna, Fl. He spent his life serving the Lord and being there for his family. He said his favorite jobs were being a dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. He lived a very full and rewarding life.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, James, Francis, sister, Carol, and grandson, Andrew.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda Poole of Dothan, daughter, Tammy Poole of Cody, WY., son, Michael Poole (Tiffany) of Wellington, CO., sister, Debbie Poole (Tom) of Wilmington, NC., grandchildren, Alexis Hendrich (Tom), Alex Poole (Shaylee), Adam Poole, and great-grandchildren, Adley, Scottie, Saylor and Lainey.
