Jerry Oscar Walker, a resident of Clio, Alabama, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025, at Dale Medical Center in Ozark, Alabama. He was 85 years old.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glover Funeral Home in Clayton, Alabama with Rev. Bobby Long officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The burial will follow in the Bethsadia Church Cemetery in Clayton. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Bethsadia Church Cemetery Fund.
Jerry was born November 1, 1939, in Clayton, Alabama to the late Homer Lee and Mary Louise Woodham Walker. He worked for Columbus Mills and retired from American Buildings both in Eufaula. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting with dogs and fishing. Jerry was an avid Alabama football fan and was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Lessie Jean Dixon Walker; sister, Mary Jane Walker.
Survivors include his son, Jeremiah Walker (Ginger) of Clio; two sisters, Murrell Burnham of Clayton and Marsha Lee Coach (Jess) of Cleveland, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Megan Danner (Clint) and Kyle Walker (Taylor); two great-grandchildren, Cullen Danner and Jack Danner.
Ask to serve as pallbearers are Ricky Burnham, Greg Burnham, Clay Hagler, Lance Littlefield, Tony Baxley, and Chuck Culverhouse.
