
Mrs. Jimmie Frances Rogers Pike of Pansey, AL, formerly of Dothan, AL passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, April 14, 2025. She was 98 years young.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, April 18, 2025 at Liberty Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Peacock officiating. Burial will follow at Hodgesville Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at Liberty Baptist Church on Friday, from 12:30 to 2 P.M. prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions can be made to the Children’s Ministry Building Fund at Liberty Baptist Church, 477 Liberty Rd., Pansey, AL.
Mrs. Pike, known to most as Granny Pike, was born May 6, 1926, in Jefferson County to the late Carl and Alaga Rogers of Wylam, AL. Mrs. Pike was a loving and dedicated Navy wife to her husband, Walter H. Pike, of 70 years. Her life was a testament of her enduring love for the Lord and her family. She served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher, leader and member of Hodgesville Baptist Church for many years and currently attended Liberty Baptist Church. She was cherished and loved by many.
Mrs. Pike is survived by her loving family: daughter, JoAnn Pike Hutton (late husband Pete Hutton); son, Walter and Janice Pike; grandchildren, Kelli (Josh) Harper and Jason (Deede) Pike; great-grandchildren, Blake (Sierra) Harper, Jordan (Dalan) Harper, Cooper and Kennedy Pike; and great-great-grandchildren, Ivy and Lawson Harper; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Pike; three sisters, Doris Hendricks, Louise Waldrip, and Margaret June Stewart.
