JoAnn Register Kenimer, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, died Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Flowers Hospital. She was 91.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Father Richard Perkins officiating. Interment will be immediately following the service in Memory Hill Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing.
JoAnn was born to the late Joel Cliff “JC” and Sallye Davis Register in Dothan, Alabama on May 29, 1934. She was a 1952 graduate of Dothan High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education at Auburn University and a bachelor’s business degree from Florida State University. She married the love of her life, Ellis “Baker” Kenimer, on September 17, 1955. JoAnn taught in Alabama, Florida, Maryland, and Virginia from 1955 until 1987. She was a member of the Magna Carte, Colonial Dames, DAR, and UDC.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Left to cherish her memories are a daughter, Lee Brantley; grandson, James “Jeb” Brantley; and a great grandson, Carson James Brantley.
