Joe Edwin Graves

Joe Edwin Graves of Troy, AL (formally Enterprise, AL) passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at his home. He was 96.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 3, 2025, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Dr. Olivia Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 201 Heath Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.
Mr. Graves was preceded in death by his wife of 76 years Alva Graves and son-in-law Homer Pettengill.
Survivors include his two daughters, JoAnn Pettengill, Level Plains, AL; Kathy Hendrix (Buddy), Troy, AL; son, Jim Graves (Jeanine), Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren, Emily Stallsmith (David), Alison Pettengill, Katie Bradley (Aaron), Megan Ingram (Kurt), Christopher Hendrix (Halee), Jeffrey Graves (Jelena), Jennifer Cantu, Jayna Bond (Chris); ten great-grandchildren and another on the way.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Compassus Hospice for the care Mr. Graves received during his illness.
