John Brannon of Samson, AL passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Opp Health and Rehabilitation after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Minister Craig Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in the Glendale Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. The family will gather at the home of his sister, Sue Ziglar, at 16646 W. State Highway 52, Kinston, AL 36453.
John was born in Charleston, South Carolina on August 21, 1959, to the late James B. and Edna Earl Holloway Brannon. John worked for many years at the Cotton Mill and Reliable Metal Products in Geneva, AL. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded by two brother, Phillip and William Brannon; brother-in-law, Kenneth Hartman; nephew, Robert Hartman; maternal grandparents, William and Hettie Holloway; paternal grandparents, Jeff and Katherine Brannon.
John is survived by his life partner, Wanda Mock of Samson, AL; one brother, James “Buddy” Brannon of Cross Junction, VA; sisters, Janice Hartman of Samson, AL, Sue Ziglar (Frank) of Samson, AL, Mary Edna Radney (Gene) of Gaskin, FL, and Renee Potter of Destin, FL; 10 nephews, 10 nieces, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
