NAPIER FIELD. . .Johnny Ray Richards, a resident of Napier Field, passed away Thursday night, March 13, 2025, in a Dothan hospital. He was 70.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Richards was a lifelong resident of Napier Field, son of the late Arby C. Richards and Georgia Lou Trawick Richards. He was a graduate of Dale County High School. Mr. Richards was employed by Baptist Village Retirement Center in Dothan as a Maintenance Technician. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Boyd and Cathy Sprouse and two brothers, Arby C. Richards, Jr. and William Earl Richards.
Surviving relatives include a son, Timothy J. Richards, Midland City; four brothers, George Richards (Edna), Wicksburg; Larry M. Richards (Teresa), Midland City; Michael A. Richards, Napier Field and Marty Richards (Sherry), Dothan; a brother-in-law, Mark Sprouse; Johnny Ray’s former wife and mother of T.J., Sue Glover Richards Gilley, Midland City; numerous nieces and nephews.
