Jon Terry Myers

Jon Terry Myers, 78, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2026, at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Bobbie Lassiter officiating and Glover Funeral Home & Crematory of Dothan directing.

Jon was born September 12, 1948, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Joseph Herman & Clara (Adams) Myers. He spent the early years of his life in the Birmingham area and attended Phillips High School. Following school, he went to work as a mechanic for L&N Railroad, which allowed him to travel and work all throughout the Southeastern states. Jon later worked as the Parts Manager for Mack Trucks in Dothan for many years. He was a member of Covenant Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his two brother, Joe Myers and Jimmy Myers; and his siter, Doris Capps.

He is survived by his wife, Joan D. Myers of Dothan; his two sons, Kelly Myers of Pace, FL, and Jason Myers (Danielle) of Dothan; his six grandchildren, Brittany Robertson, Tucker Williams, Parker Morgan, Emma Williams, Maddison Williams, and Ellie Myers; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Gentiva Hospice for the love and care shown to their loved one during this time.
