ABBEVILLE. . .Joyce Offenstein Mullins, a resident of Abbeville, passed away early Saturday morning, March 28, 2026, at her home. She was 87.
A private graveside service for the family was held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in the New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, near the Edwin Community with Reverend Danny Hendeson officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mullins was born in Decatur, Illinois. She lived in Romeoville, Illinois before moving to Abbeville in 1991. She was a member of New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth L. Offenstein, her mother, Ann Boenig Stout, her husband, Everett Dean Mullins, a son, E. Dean Mullins and a great-grandson, Emmanuel Hornsby.
Surviving relatives include her daughters, Debra Turner (Jim), Edwin, AL; Dawn Trawick (John), Abbeville; and Dana Hornsby (Howard), Huntsville, AL; a brother, Kenneth Offenstein (Rachel), North Carolina; grandchildren, Jimmy D. Turner (Amy), Jonny Turner (Iwona), Jesse Turner (Kristen), Latishia Alderman (D.J.), Preston Banister (Layce), William Bysiek (Jen), Elaine Hornsby, Emma Lynn Hornsby and Boaz Horsnby; ten great-grandchildren
