SHORTERVILLE, ALABAMA. . .Kristian “Kris” Hansson, a resident of Shorterville, Alabama, passed away late Tuesday afternoon, February 10, 2026, in a Dothan hospital. He was 81.
There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hansson was born in Klepp, Norway and moved with his family to the United States as an infant. He served two tours of duty in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Medevac Pilot and was discharged as a CW2. Mr. Hansson retired as a Flight Instructor at Ft. Rucker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Hansson.
Surviving relatives include his daughter, Karlene Keevert (Kevin), Daleville, AL; two sisters, Anne Marie Hansson and Jenny Hansson.
