Linda Jean Bullard Ness
June 1, 1943-February 24, 2025

Linda Jean Bullard Ness passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, in Berkeley, California, with her son and son-in-law by her side.

Linda was born in Dothan, Alabama, on June 1, 1943, at Moody Hospital to Agnes Watson Bullard and Charles Henderson Bullard. She spent her very early years in Henry County before moving to Dothan, Alabama. She attended Minnie T. Heard Elementary School, Young Jr. High School, and Dothan High School. She moved to Greensboro, Alabama, and graduated from Greensboro High School in 1961.

Linda loved talking about her brothers, Ted, Terry, and Matt, or as she called them her “Bubbas”. They were all very close growing up in their hometown of Dothan.

Linda worked in administration at UCSF Hospital in San Francisco before her retirement and then enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband, Steve.
Linda loved her family, and even though she lived in San Francisco, she kept up with every member of her family through visits and phone calls. She always ended the phone calls with “I love you! Kisses!”

Those who knew Linda described her as unique, loving, generous, and well-read, especially in British and American literature. She was an expert in grammar and was always willing to provide grammatical tips to her friends and family.

Watching SEC football, especially her Alabama Crimson Tide, cooking delicious meals for her family, and reading were her favorite pastimes.

Linda is survived by her daughter Laine Campbell, her son Rod Fraser (Everett), grandchildren Haley Agnes Demian and Nathanial Demian-Duncan, a great granddaughter, brothers Terry Bullard (Karen), Matt Bullard (Linda), and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Steven Ness, and her brother Ted Watson Bullard.
