Lisa Ann Marie Scott Smith, a resident of Brundidge, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at her home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Lisa was born on October 14, 1959 in Johnson City, New York, the daughter of Gerald Samuel Floyd and Judith Arlene Ann Brainard Scott. She grew up as an “army brat” and lived in various places. At the age of fifteen, her family moved to Ft. Rucker, Alabama and settled there. She worked as a janitor at M1 Support Services for seventeen years. She often traveled to Florida with her husband during the fruit season to transport fruit for his work. She loved gardening and was known for her “green thumb”. She enjoyed tending to her chickens. Her most pride and joy were her family. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Lisa’s dream in life was to go to Korea to see the Botanical Gardens.
Lisa is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Denkin Smith; uncle, Dale Brainard; sister, Cynthia Jaworski; and nephews, Shawn and Andrew Jaworski.
Lisa is survived by her sons, Robert Silavent (Allie) and Nick Silavent (Wendy), both of Ariton; daughters, Tina Silavent of Elizabethtown, KY and Denece Smith of Highland Park, FL; sister, Susan Slavin; grandchildren, Triston, Barrett, MaKayla (Decklin), Gaige (Hannah), Chelsea (Mark), Brandon (Catalina), Kayla, Austin (Bonnie), Gerald (Ash), Olivia, Marissa, Justis, Mya; great grandchildren, Rose, Amethyst, Brandon Jr., Dylon, and Hudson.
