DACULA, GEORGIA. . . Lorraine “Lorry” de la Croix, a resident of Dacula, Georgia, formerly of Headland, Alabama, passed away Wednesday morning, September 16, 2026, in Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, Georgia. She was 80.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. (EDT), Saturday, September 19, 2026, in the North Metro Baptist Church, Hoschton, Georgia, with Dr. Frank Cox officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. (CDT) Sunday, September 20, 2026, in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, 1550 Parramore Road, Dothan, AL 36303, with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Lorry de la Croix was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and was raised in Headland, Alabama. She was a graduate of Headland High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Auburn University. Lorry was retired from Cobb County Public School System where she served as a Librarian for thirty years. She was an active member of North Metro Baptist Church, Braselton, Georgia and was an avid Auburn football fan. Lorry was preceded in death by her father, Louis Arthur de la Croix, Jr., her mother, Ethelene Jordan de la Croix Warren, step-father, J. B. Warren, and her brother, Louis Arthur “Art” de la Croix, III.
Surviving relatives include a nephew, Christopher de la Croix and his wife, Melissa, Greenville, SC; great-nephews, Colin de la Croix and Grayson de la Croix; sister-in-law, Susana Grantham de la Croix, Headland, AL.
