SUMMERVILLE,  SOUTH CAROLINA. . .Lowell Allen Corbin, a resident of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 1, 2026, in the Summerville Hospital. He was 89.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 5, 2026, in Gardens of Memory, 6200 U. S. Highway 431 North, Headland, AL 36345, with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM Monday at the mortuary in Headland.
Mr. Corbin was born and raised in Dale County, Alabama between Headland and Midland City, son of the late Elon Bascom Corbin and Gussie Camilla Hicks Corbin. He was a 1955 graduate of Midland City High School. Mr. Corbin served his country in the Army National Guard during the Berlin Crisis. He formerly lived in Vero Beach, FL, West Palm Beach, FL, Bessemer, AL, Savannah, GA, Chattanooga, TN, Atlanta, GA, Statesboro, GA, and Talladega, AL before moving to Summerville in 1988. Mr. Corbin retired as a Retail Store Manager from F. W. Woolworth in Charleston, SC. He was preceded in death by a son, John Scott Corbin, a sister, Agatha Cameron, and brothers, Berlon Corbin and Andrew Jackson Corbin.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Judy Powers Corbin; two sons, Keith Corbin (Allison), Statesboro, GA and Jeff Corbin (Kelly), Talladega, AL; a sister-in-law, Wilene Corbin, Montgomery; a special family friend, Janice Geen, Headland, AL; grandchildren, Cassie Corbin, Jason Corbin (Ashlee) and Rachel Tootle (Craig); great-grandchildren, Abby Tootle and Claire Tootle and a beloved family friend and neighbor, Melvin Wagner.
