Marcie Ann Taylor Reynolds of Samson, AL passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 68 years old.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL with Rev. Wes Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Marcie was born in Lakewood, FL on July 21, 1957, to the late Willard Cecil Taylor and Martha Carolyn Bass Russell.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Reynolds; one brother, David Morrison; son-in-law, Jimmy McCluskey; and one great grandson, Drue Loyed.

A true southern cook, Marcie’s kitchen was the heart of her home, where the aromas of her famous dishes brought together family and friends. Her love for cooking was only matched by her joy in sharing it with others, especially her cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Marcie’s connection with nature was evident in her love for fishing, gardening, and tending to her flower beds. Her green thumb brought beauty to the world, both in the vibrant blooms that adorned her garden and in the fresh produce she canned and put up for her family. Her hands, always busy, worked with love to nurture and sustain the lives around her.

Known for her candid nature, Marcie was a woman who spoke her mind. Friends and family always knew where they stood with her, and they loved her all the more for it. Her straightforwardness was a hallmark of her character, a trait that earned her deep respect and admiration.

She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth McCluskey, Amy Taylor (Wayne Warren) Jennifer Loyed, all of Samson, AL, and Kelly Taylor (Dale) of Opp, AL; eleven grandchildren, Tyler Bowers (Tierra), Austin Bowers (Mickayla), BreAnna Gibbs, Savannah Baine (Stephen), DeAnna Gibbs, Seth Gibbs (Rose), Nicole Sisk (Natrel), Chelsey Loyed, Aren Loyed (Shelby), Jeff Wilson (Shannon), and Cam Wilson; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sherrie Meredith (Scott); and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
