HALEBURG. . .Margie Ruth Bishop Boone, a resident of Haleburg, passed away Sunday morning, October 25, 2026, at the home of a son in Dothan. She was 83.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in the Haleburg Cemetery with Dr. Ray Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends from -1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the sanctuary of the Haleburg Baptist Church. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Boone was born and raised in Coffee County, Alabama, daughter of the late Amos L. Bishop and Cora Lee Carpenter Bishop. She lived in Cocoa, Florida before moving to Haleburg in 2010. Mrs. Boone was formerly employed as a Real Estate Agent in Florida and also as a Salesperson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Ruth Raska, daughter-in-law, Shannon Marie Sharbuno, an infant grandson, a sister, Diane Anderson, and four brothers, Gene Bishop, Ted Bishop, Ronald Bishop and Royce Bishop.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Kermit Glenn Boone; four sons, Roger Boone (Patricia), Haleburg; Randy Boone (Kelly), Gordon, AL; Ryan Boone (Amanda), Mims, FL; and Kermit Boone (Elizabeth), Haleburg; two sisters, Linda Newland of Florida; and Peggy Sue Wilkerson, Ocala, FL; a brother, John Bishop (Char), Grants Pass, Oregon; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
