Ms. Margie (Henderson) Harden, age 90, a resident of Madrid passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Southeast Health following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2025, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Harden officiating.  Burial will follow in Madrid City Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home of Dothan directing.

The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m., Friday prior to services.  Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116.  The family requests that food be omitted.

Ms. Harden was born on April 22, 1934, in Houston County the daughter of Henry Clifton Henderson and Hilma Strickland Henderson.  She has been a resident of Houston County and the Madrid community for most of her life.  Ms. Harden was a 1953 graduate of Rehobeth High School, she worked at Dothan Hosiery Mill, Blumberg’s, Cottonwood Industries, and Twitchell before retiring.  She was a member of Madrid Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elbert Harden; a son, Thomas Harden; and two brothers, Billy and Franklin Henderson.

Survivors her daughter, Patsy Griggs, Madrid; son, Edward Harden (Robbie), Dothan; three grandchildren, Keisha Davis (Craig), Clarksville, TN.; Ana Griggs (Jason), Madrid; Morgan Ming (Drew), Dothan; three great-grandchildren, Eli Ming, Emerson Griggs, and Addie Kate Ming; sister, Juanita Henderson Thomley, Midland City; brother, Lamar Henderson (Ann), Eufaula; several nieces, nephews, and brothers in law and sisters in law.

Pallbearers will be: Jason Griggs, Craig Davis, Wyatt Griggs, and Drew Ming
