Marietha Hamm Strickland, age 79 of Eufaula, formerly of Clio passed away July 10, 2026, in the Eufaula nursing facility after an extended illness.
Marietha Hamm Strickland, age 79 of Eufaula, formerly of Clio passed away July 10, 2026, in the Eufaula nursing facility after an extended illness.Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 13, 2026 at Pea River Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Grandson-in-law, Haisten Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m., at Keahey Funeral Home of Clio. Serving as pallbearers will be Shaun Thompson, Jered Long, Jason Thompson, Austin Ohliger, Brooks Welk, and Matthew Welk. Keahey Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
Left to cherish her memory, daughter, Tiffany (Blair) Welk of Eufaula, AL; son, Bryan (Penny) Strickland of Skipperville, AL; sister, Laura (Pat) King of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Hamm of Clio, AL; Brenda (Larry) Long of Blue Springs, AL; Mary Frances Thompson of Blue Springs, AL; grandchildren,Taylor (Hannah) Welk, Matthew Welk, Brooks (Victoria) Welk, Kayla (Austin) Ohliger, Chelsie (Haisten) Smith; great grandchildren, Emma Ohliger, Kollins Welk and Wyatt Welk.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Hamm and Madeline Ladner and husband, Jerome Strickland, brothers, James Hamm and Grover Hamm. For many years, Marietha owned and operated Clio Flower Shop. In her retirement she loved shopping and going to the beach and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
