Marilyn Elizabeth (Brookins) Waller


Ms. Marilyn Brookins Waller, 93, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Pruitt Health Care in Milton, Florida, following an extended illness. She was a long-time resident of Dothan, before relocating to Milton.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Tim Willis and Brother Gene Kirkland officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing.

Marilyn was born on July 10, 1932, in Dothan, to the late Norton & Edith (Branford) Brookins. At the age of eight, her mother passed away, and her father remarried Etta Brookins, who raised her along with her siblings. She was a graduate from Ashford High School. Following graduation, she married Patrick Waller, and they lived in numerous places due to his military service. Marilyn worked in clerical positions in the medical field. She volunteered at Extendicare Nursing Home and Rehab and was an active choir member at Ridgecrest Baptist Church before moving to Milton, Florida in 2020.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dothan Animal Shelter, 295 Jerry Drive, Dothan, AL 36303, or Wiregrass Humane Society, 255 Jerry Drive, Dothan, AL 36303.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Patrick Waller; her stepmother, Etta Brookins; her two sisters, Melba Addison Kremple, and Imogene Addison; her brother, Larry Brookins.

She is survived by her three sons, Gary Waller (Cindy) of Milton, FL, Stan Waller (Pat) of Dothan, and Jim Waller (Jennifer) of Milton, FL; her three granddaughters, Kaity Waller, Cassie Waller, Lily Waller, Caroline Love, and Alex Love; her sister, Glenda White (Jack) of Quincy, FL; her sister-in-law, Miriam Brookins; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Pruitt Health Care for the love and care shown to their loved one during this very difficult time.
