MIDLAND CITY… Martha L. McLain, a resident of Midland City, Alabama passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at home. She was 67.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 12, 2026 at Wright Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Reverend Tim McCraney and Brother Bob Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Alabama. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, October 11, 2026 from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel.
Mrs. McLain was born in Heidelberg, Germany, to the late Robert Wellons Lee, Jr., and Jean Mack Linch Lee. A graduate of Dothan High School, Class of 1977, she devoted many years of service to the City of Dothan’s Human Resources Department before retiring. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
She enjoyed traveling with her daughter and granddaughter as well as listening to her favorite Christian music on Pandora. She especially loved relaxing by her firepit—even when it was just her and the flames—or gathering with friends and family for a bonfire. She also had a passion for riding motorcycles, a love she shared with her husband, Jim.
In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Jim McLain; sister, Karen Eugenia “Geggie” Lee; and a sister-in-law, Donna Lee.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Mandy McLain Ludlam (Clint); sister, Joette Lee Booker (Bruce); brother, Robert “Bobby” Allen Lee; granddaughter, Kaylee Reese Ludlam; several nieces, nephews and loving friends.
