MARTHA SUE WALDEN

KINSEY… Martha Sue Walden, a resident of Kinsey, Alabama passed away Tuesday evening, August 25, 2026, at Margaret Z Dozier Hospice House in Tallahassee, Florida. She was 94.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 01, 2026, at Kinsey Baptist Church with Reverend Brad Hardy officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made in memory of Martha Sue Walden, to the Margaret Z. Dozier Hospice House, 1723 Mahan Central Boulevard #1, Tallahassee, Florida 32308.

Mrs. Walden was born in Slocomb, Alabama to the late A.C. Lee and Gussie Brannon Lee. She was a graduate of Slocomb High School. She was also a graduate of the Riley Business College. She was employed by the Columbia Baptist Association, also known as “The Store,” for several years. She was a devoted member of Kinsey Baptist Church, where she faithfully participated in the Faith Sunday School Class. Her love for Jesus was evident in all that she did, and she joyfully served the Lord and others throughout her life.

In her spare time, she enjoyed baking and tending to her garden. She also cherished the fellowship and friendship she shared with her friends through her bowling league. Above all, she will be remembered for her love of the Lord, her servant’s heart, and the kindness she extended to those around her.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Norman Douglas Walden; her daughter, Amy Walden McMullen; her son-in-law, Victor Rodney McMullen, Jr.; and her brother, Junior Lee and his wife Ann Lee.

Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughter, Debbie Evett (Steve); her grandchildren, Victor McMullen III (Julee) and Emily Ashford (Zach); her great-grandchildren, Sadie Ashford, Levi Ashford, and Victor Rodney McMullen IV; and her several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Vic Rodney McMullen III, Zach Ashford, Tony Lee, Craig Hughes, Jeff Arnold, Austin McCardle, Charles Reneau, Todd Moore, and John Johnston.
