Mary T. Freeman, 97, a longtime resident of Dothan, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Extendicare Health Care.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2005, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stephanie Cox officiating. A private burial will follow in Memory Hill
Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Friday prior to service time. Flowers are being accepted.

Mrs. Freeman was born August 16, 1927, in Florida to Austin and Maggie Terrell Tomlinson. After graduating with a Masters degree, she taught school for over 25 years in the Dothan School system prior to her retirement. She truly loved children and while teaching always directed them to the Bible in the classroom. She loved antiques and flowers. She was also a talented seamstress and a wonderful cook. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church where she and her husband were involved in the youth ministry and she taught Sunday School for 50 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a woman of remarkable faith.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Judson Lee Freeman, and a daughter, Mary Jan Freeman.

She is survived by a daughter, Mark Ann Stanford of Dothan; three grandchildren, David Neal Stanford (Tami), Jamison Lee Sims (Brad) and Jenifer Diane Williams (John); twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; five brothers and several nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Judson Stanford, Nick Shimoda, Vince Edge, Tommy Tolleson, Tim Tolleson, Carlton Baldwin and Larry Tolleson.
