Mary Magdelene Weeks “Maggie” Hughes of Geneva, AL passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026. She was 91 years old.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Darlington, FL with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing.
Maggie was born in Hartford, AL on September 16, 1934, to the late Esker and Mazie Weeks. She loved going to church and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hebert Hughes and one son, Larry Hughes.
She is survived by three children, Wayne Hughes (Linda), Ronnie Hughes (Rita), and Jeannie Miller (Ronnie); four grandchildren, Nyoka Wilson (Ricky), Alisha Troyer (Sean), Katie Hughes, and Michael Hughes; nine great grandchildren, Dillon Galtney, Macy Williams (Tara), Phoenix McAllister (Joseph), Brandon Wilson (Riley), Trevor Wilson, Cameron Troyer, Brodie Troyer, Cash Mainbusan, and Weston Mainbusan; four great-great grandchildren, Khaleesi McAllister, Tabri Camp, Clae Camp, and Prestyn Nix; one sister, Janice Cason.
