Mavis Gail Baker Taylor, a resident of Dothan, Alabama and formerly of Eufaula, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Westside Terrace in Dothan, Alabama. She was 75 years old.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula with Rev. Stephen Doss officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The burial will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.

Gail was born on August 10, 1950, in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Joseph “JW or Slim” William Baker and Ruby Lee Hall Baker. She worked for many years as a waitress in the retail food industry. She was known as a wonderful cook, and everyone loved her fried chicken. Gail also enjoyed watching television, especially game shows.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Randall Wayne Dansby; two daughters, Candy Renee Dansby and Angela Faye Dansby; brother, Jessie Wayne Baker.

Survivors include three sons, William Morris Dansby of Eufaula, Barry Eugene Dansby (Renee) of Phenix City, and Larry Gene Dansby of Birmingham; brother, James David Baker (Susan) of Eufaula; two sisters, Linda Joyce Williams of Dothan and Faye Baker of Baker Hill; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Asked to serve as pallbearers are Brian Teal, Bladen Teal, Austin Jeffery, Justin Jeffery, Joey Jeffery, and Jeff Marshall.
