Meredith Hope (Vaughan) Fenn

Meredith Hope (Vaughan) Fenn, affectionately known as Hope, embraced the arms of her Savior on October 19, 2026, in her cherished hometown of Dothan, Alabama. At the age of 39, Hope leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith that touched everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Born and raised in Dothan, Hope’s journey was marked by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a profound sense of compassion. After earning her Bachelor’s degree from Troy State University, she was on the brink of completing her Master’s in Clinical Psychology, driven by her dream to counsel recovering addicts—a testament to her enduring desire to uplift and heal.

Hope’s life was a testament to her devotion to serving others, recognized from a young age with accolades such as Good Citizen of the Year at Rehobeth Elementary and her recognition as a Duke University Super Achiever. Her adventurous spirit took her to Sakado, Japan, as a Sister City representative, broadening her horizons and further fueling her passion for connecting with others.

Her work as a server at The Fish House in Pensacola, Florida, was more than just a job; it was a place where she could spread her light and kindness to patrons and colleagues alike. A devoted follower of Jesus, Hope found spiritual nourishment at My Father’s Vineyard, where her faith blossomed and strengthened.

Hope’s Facebook profile encapsulated her life’s philosophy: “It is better to be a follower who fails than one who fails to follow. All honor and glory to God.” This guiding principle, coupled with her favorite Bible verse, II Corinthians 5:17, underscored her belief in renewal and transformation through faith.

Her love and legacy live on in her beloved children, Jayda Tristyn Fenn and Jacob Joseph Fenn, both of Pensacola, Florida, and their devoted father, Jeremy Fenn. Hope’s nurturing spirit is fondly remembered by her mother, Carolyn Vaughan, and her “second Mom,” Rhonda Despeaux Strickland. She is also survived by her caring brother, Heath (Jessi) Vaughan, and her adoring sisters, Tesha Vaughan (Mark) DePriest, Katrina Wesley (Toby) Seay, and Lisa Wesley (Mike) Owens. Her memory endures in the hearts of her nieces, Mercedes Owens (Cayce) Williams, Aubrey Jo Vaughan, Alayna, and Oaklynn, and her nephews, Jordan, Caleb, and Noah DePriest, Zackery Owens, and Hunter, as well as countless friends and family.

Hope is now reunited in Heaven with her father, Timmy Roger Vaughan, and her grandparents, Leon and Mary Vaughan, and Everett and Marie Byers. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit continues to inspire those she leaves behind, a beacon of light and hope in a world that sorely misses her warmth.

In celebrating Hope’s life, we remember a woman whose heart knew no bounds, whose faith was steadfast, and whose love was limitless. Her journey may have concluded here on Earth, but her legacy of kindness and hope will forever endure.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the My Father’s Vineyard, 7985 Pensacola Boulevard, Pensacola, FL 32534, all family and friends are welcome to attend.
