It is with a heavy heart that we announce Mirella Abigail Chub-Lopez, affectionately known as Abigail, passing on March 27, 2025, in Cottonwood, Alabama. Born on March 27, 2002, in Dothan, Alabama, Abigail’s vibrant spirit began to make its mark on the world.
Abigail is survived by her parents, Valerie Lopez (Gustavo Hernandez), and Alfredo Lopez (Tessia); husband, Carlos Chub; children, Bryan Chub-Lopez, Alan Chub-Lopez, and Leila Chub-Lopez; and siblings, Victoria Robinson, Alicia Ramirez, Steven Lopez, Sandra Martinez, Ethan Hernandez, Jose Varradas, Eliana Varradas, Adrian Lopez, and Luna Lopez. Each relationship was unique and special, filled with memories that her family will treasure forever.
Throughout her life, Abigail embraced her passions with enthusiasm. Karaoke nights were a highlight, where she would joyfully sing and dance, entirely unconcerned with hitting every note. Her laughter during these moments was contagious and will echo in the hearts of her loved ones always. Shopping was another joy, whether for herself or for the perfect gifts to express her love to family and friends.
Above all, Abigail’s role as a mother was her most cherished. Her children were the center of her universe, and she instilled in them the values of courage, love, and joy. She faced life’s challenges with a bravery that inspired those around her, and her gentle spirit was a comforting presence in times of need.
Abigail’s legacy is one of love—a love that was both tender and fierce. Her compassion and empathy were her gifts to the world, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Funeral Services for Abigail will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Cory Solomon officiating.
