DOTHAN. . .Mollie Hagler Marshall Cain, a resident of Dothan, died Monday morning, June 30, 2025, at her home. She was 99.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Thursday, July 3, 2025, in the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Randy Kuhn officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers and food, memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 2431 West Main Street, Suite 1102, Dothan, AL 36301.
Mrs. Cain was born and reared in Echo, Alabama, daughter of the late Joe Hagler and Georgia Bell Hagler. She was a graduate of Midland City High School. Mrs. Cain was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and formerly volunteered at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle. She retired in 1995 from the U. S. Postal Service in Napier Field as a Clerk. Mrs. Cain lived in Napier Field from 1947 until 1995 when she moved to Dothan. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Rufus Marshall and Elbert Cain, a daughter, Carolyn Bass, a daughter-in-law, Nina Jo Marshall, a sister, Betty Williams and her husband, Leonard M. Williams, and a nephew, Kent Williams.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Martha Leger (Bill), Midland City; a son, Billy J. Marshall, Dothan; a son-in-law, Donald Bass, Dothan; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Tim Williams.
The family would like to express their appreciation to special caregivers, Ruby Malone and Gert Myhand and Gentiva Hospice for the loving care and kindness shown to Mrs. Cain during her illness
