Mr. Benny Joe Singletary, age 75, a resident of Slocomb passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at Flowers Hospital.
Celebration of life for Benny Singletary to be held at the venue at Nate’s restaurant at 342 Harris Hwy. Slocomb, Al. 36375 on Sunday, April 6th, 2025 at 2 p.m. CST.
Mr. Benny was born in Bonifay, Florida on April 12, 1949 to Johnny Webb Singletary and Ezzie Adeleene Elmore Singletary. He loved to play golf, go fishing, and do crossword puzzles. Mr. Benny coached for many years at Slocomb High School and mentored many young men over the years. He was a hard-loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a faithful member at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church for many years before attending Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Mr. Benny is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Patricia.
Survivors include his son, Brandt Singletary (Kirsty); brother, Philip Singletary (Vicky); grandchildren, Sawyer Singletary, Sage Singletary; great grandchildren, Benny Singletary, Danny; two special friends, Ronnie Tyler, Willie Williford; his special mentor and friend, Larry Newton.
