Mr. David Hugh Cain, age 74, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday June 30, 2026, at Southeast Health in Dothan.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Wiregrass Pets, Rescue and Adoption Center, 2638 Hartford Highway, Dothan, Al 36305.
Mr. Cain was born on April 6, 1952, in Dothan to James Robert Cain and Eugenia Gamble Cain. He attended elementary and Junior High School in Dothan and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1972.
Mr. Cain was an industrial electrician then transitioned into sales working with Simmons Engineering since January 2011. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was of Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, JoAnn Price.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Kathi Roland Cain, Dothan; son, Robby Cain (Ashley), Midland City; daughter, Jennifer Cain Newman (Jason), Dothan; 5 grandchildren, Aiden Cain, Gage Cain, Maeleigh Cain, Kennadie Newman and Mollie Newman; 1 great grandchild, Kinsley Cain; brother-in-law, Frank Price, Panama City, Fl; several nieces and nephews.
