Mr. Dennis Lamar Cole, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 14, 2025.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 18, 2025 in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eddie Littlefield, Bro. Thomas Harrison and Bro. Benny Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Dennis Lamar Cole was born in Dothan on June 9, 1950 to Mr. John Wesley and Mrs. Ardeth Mylan Marchman Cole. He spent his early years growing up in Napier Field. He graduated from Dale County High School in 1969. He was a truck driver for several years, then later became a bus driver for Dothan City Schools. For many years, he also umpired men’s softball. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Harpers Joy Assembly of God. In the fall, you could always find him cheering on his Alabama Crimson Tide. “Roll Tide!”

Mr. Dennis Lamar Cole is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David Cole and Douglas Cole.

Survivors include his wife of fifty three years, Sandra Cole; two daughters, Hailey Cobb (Marty), Dothan and Jennifer Cole, Ozark; one brother, Allen Cole (Clairece), Dothan; two sister in laws, Marilyn Cole, Georgia and JoAnn Cole, Dothan; two sisters, Linda Jones (Edgar), Pensacola, Fl and Dianne Forrester (Ronnie), Webb; four grandchildren, Sydney Brooks (Caleb), Nathan Cobb, Oliviah Jett, Bryson Burks; great grandson, Carter Brooks; many other relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Andrews, Scott Andrews, Martin Forrester, Ken Stinson, Tony Mallory, Wade Stinson, Ashley Cole, Johnathon Cole, Patrick Mallory, and Derek Mallory, and Michael Jones.
