He was an avid coon hunter and fisherman, finding solace and joy in the tranquility of nature. Boating on Lake Eufaula was one of his favorite pastimes, as was tending to his vegetable garden, where he cultivated not only food for the table but also a space for gathering and creating memories with his loved ones.

Edward was the beloved husband of Brenda Hallford, with whom he shared 33 years of unwavering love and companionship. He was a devoted father to his sons, Walter, Thomas, James, and Jerry Hallford, and to his daughters, Amanda Norred (Jay), Irene Costello (Gary), and Michelle Smith (Sonny). His role as a grandfather and great-grandfather was one he cherished deeply, and his influence will live on through the many lives he touched.
