
George L. Enfinger passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, at his home in Dothan, Alabama
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
George was preceded in death by his loving parents, Herbert Bates and Sybil Glass Enfinger, and his aunts, Julia Ann Newton and Bobbie Fletcher. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his brother, Allen Enfinger (Monica), nephews, Stephen Beckworth (Kayla), Nick Beckworth (Mary), Chase Enfinger (Sarah), daughter, Carmen Johnson; grandsons, Shelton, Dallas, and JR Johnson, three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
George’s nature and loving heart were evident to all. He was a person who genuinely loved his family, forming an unbreakable bond with each member and creating a legacy of affection and unity. George’s love extended to his animals, especially his cherished pet, Bear, who was a constant and loyal companion. George was an avid Alabama fan.
His legacy of love and devotion will continue to flourish in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. George’s journey on earth has concluded, but his spirit remains a beacon of light in the lives of his family.
