Mr. Michael Eugene “Mike” Watson, a resident of Skipperville, Alabama, died Monday, November 3, 2025. He was 59 years old.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned for Mr. Watson at this time. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Watson was born July 7, 1966 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Durwood Eugene Watson and Marjorie Bludsworth Watson. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1985 and the Alabama Aviation and Technical College. He worked with various aviation contractors throughout the south. He worked last with Pemco World Air Services. He was one time Assistant Manager with Road Mart in Ozark. Mike was an over-the-road truck driver with J. B. Hunt and with James Whitman hauling Big Dog Motorcycles. Mike loved hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and swimming. He was an avid Alabama fan.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon Goolsby Watson; one daughter, Jenna Newton; two sons, Matthew Smith and Ben Smith (Raven); one sister, Meloni Watson; and one brother, Jeff Watson. Six grandchildren also survive.
