
Mr. Michael Dillard of Hartford passed away in Clay County Georgia on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. He was 46.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home, Slocomb, Alabama with Pastor Hilburn Stanley officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00A.M. and continuing until service time. Interment will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery, Hartford, Alabama.
Michael was born on August 29, 1979 in Geneva, Alabama to the late Louis Lamar and Kathy Locke Dillard. He was a graduate of Geneva County High School. Michael was a Right of Way Lineman for many years. He was an avid Auburn football fan and enjoyed watching his Tigers play but gained a lot of pride when he yelled WAR EAGLE!
In addition to his parents, his grandparents also preceded him in death.
A legacy of love and memories will live on in the hearts of his surviving family including his wife, Christal Dillard; daughters: Angela Gauthier and Hailey Stephens; sons: Tanner Dillard, Hunter Dillard (Sarah), Trevor Stephens, Haden Dillard (Zoey), Skyler Carter, and Bobby Smith; grandchildren: Daxton Dillard, Bentley Dillard, Adda Stephens, Aiden Stephens, Damon Smith, Brason Smith, Willa Grace Stephens; sisters: Ashley Dillard and Kayla Calhoon (Tommy); brother, Paul Dillard; aunt, Teresa Fountain (Bobby) and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. Michael also had a very special four-legged son, Malachi Dillard.
