Mr. Milton Raymond Brogden, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in Flowers Hospital. He was 92 years old.
Funeral services for Mr. Brogden will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 13, 2026 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with Reverend Kenneth Andrews and Reverend Tim Bates officiating. Private family interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick Graham, Trent Graham, Nolan Brogden, Joey Wozniak, Charles Ward, Brian Fair and Ethan Fisher.
Mr. Brogden was born March 26, 1934, in Dale County, Alabama to the late John Brady Brogden and Comer Lou Brogden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, John Brady Brogden; four sisters, Rachel Carroll, Mildred Hawkins, Lillian Brogden and Patsy Kelley. He retired from Sears and Roebuck, Alabama Power Company and served in the Alabama National Guard for 26 years. Milton was one of a kind. He was a very quiet, soft spoken, gentle man. If you were blessed to be his friend, you were truly blessed. Following their retirement, he and Earleen worked in their beautiful yards from sun-up until sun-down as the weather permitted. There was never a lazy bone in his body; he was a very hard-working person. However, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm each day was a restful “nap time”. They both loved nature and fed many of God’s precious animals on a daily basis. They had cameras outside to film these awesome feedings. Milton loved to joke. He has blessed so many people in a special way and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Milton had a talent that many may not know about; he could fry what would be considered delicious “lacy” cornbread. He and Earleen raised three Christian children; Jackie Brogden Graham (Max), Tony Brogden (Leah), and Randy Brogden (Maribel). They were blessed with six beloved grandchildren, Taylor Brogden Johnson, Sydney Brogden Wozniak (Joey), Nolan Brogden, Alicia Brogden, Patrick Graham (Hollin) and Trent Graham (Anna); five great grandchildren, Braedon Johnson, Garner Graham, Max Graham, William Brogden Graham and John Turner Graham.
What a blessing he will have in Heaven, walking in the most beautiful gardens he has ever seen, enjoying the sights and smelling the fragrance that will take his breath away. Most of all he will be united with all his loved ones and friends that have gone on before him. What a reunion that will be!!! May he walk the streets of gold with Jesus and wear a crown of glory!
