Mr. Richard Timothy Burke, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in Dale Medical Center. He was 65 years old. In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned for Mr. Burke at this time. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements. Mr. Burke was born January 8, 1960, in Ozark, Alabama to Dwain Dwight Burke and Willie Frances Munn Burke. Richard was a 1978 graduate of Carroll High School. He also received training for a commercial truck driver license and enjoyed seeing the world over eighteen wheels. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising horses and mules. This love would evolve into a job as an equine farrier. He also enjoyed Alabama football. He is preceded in death by his father Dwain Burke. He is survived by his mother, Frances Munn Burke of Ozark; one sister Michele Dooley (Brian) of Ozark; one son Richard Lee Burke (Samantha) of Valdez, AK, two daughters, Keshia Lewis (John-Mark) of Crestview, Florida and Ana Burke of Shelbyville, Tennessee. Nine grandchildren, Makenna Heath, Ryleigh Moore, Atli Burke and Remi Burke, Riley McPeak, Nolan Burke, Hayden Burke, Marshall Cantrell, and Auron Cantrell.
