
Mr. Ronnie W. Williams of Dothan passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 24, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of his devoted family. He was 78 years old.
A Celebration of Life Service honoring Ronnie’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb.
Born on February 10, 1948, in Geneva County, Ronnie was the beloved son of the late John Henry and Velma Hall Williams. A proud graduate of Slocomb High School, Ronnie honorably served his country in the United States Army for 38 distinguished years before retiring in 2004. Following his military career, he faithfully served the City of Dothan for 25 years until his retirement.
Ronnie will be remembered as a man of unwavering dedication, quiet strength, and deep love for his family. He was a devoted husband, cherished father, grandfather, and proud great-grandfather whose presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew him. His legacy of service, integrity, and love will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother, Joel Williams.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tracie Henry Williams; his children, Anthony Williams, Brandi Edmondson (Todd), and Madison Milner (John); his treasured grandchildren, Payton Ware (Mathis), Maycie Edmondson, Emma Edmondson, Mia Williams, and Henry Milner; great-granddaughter, Sims Ware; his siblings, Charles Wayne “Bill” Williams (Charlotte) and Beth Strength (Buford); along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. Also, a special thank you to caregiver, Tiffany Brown.
