Mrs. Betty Jane McKeller Childree, a resident of Ozark, went home to be with her Heavenly Father Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at her home. She was 79 years old.
Funeral services for Mrs. Childree will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, July 25, 2025, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Harold Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
Mrs. Childree was born October 11, 1945 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Neal Aubrey McKeller and Odie Lou Evans McKeller. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family who cherished her. She welcomed everyone with open arms.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edgar Childree and her grandson, Ryan Keith Harbuck. Survivors include two sons, Randy Childree (Kay) and Ronnie Childree (Ramona); three daughters, Elizabeth Childree, Laura Grimes (David) and Brenda Childree Harbuck all of Ozark; one sister, Becky Shiner of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, Crissy Everett (DJ), Dustin Childree, Nickie Childree, Amber Grimes, Miranda Grider, Blake Childree (Kimberly) Krey Grimes, Whitney Welch (Ryan) and Taylor Chadwick (Josh). Twenty-two great grandchildren also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Salem Baptist Church, 3336 County Road 23, Ariton, Alabama 36311.
