Mrs. Catherine Crutchfield Knight passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 77.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Reverend Teddy Ward officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M. and continuing until service time.
Mrs. Catherine Knight was born on June 10, 1948 in Graceville, Florida to the late Jim and Lucille Crutchfield. Catherine worked for many years as a clerk in the Geneva County Health Department. She was married to her loving husband, Louie, for 59 ½ years and together they raised two sons. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for developing a beautiful yard was evident in her flower beds which she cultivated. Catherine enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, and fishing, but most of all spending time with her beloved family.
In addition to her parents; two sisters: Agnes Garner and Sarah Crutchfield preceded her in death.
Family that is left behind to carry on her memories include her husband, Louie; sons: Keith Knight (April), Jamie Knight (Kelly); granddaughter, Megan Knight, brothers: Edward Crutchfield, David Crutchfield, William Crutchfield, Randy Crutchfield and other extended family and friends.
