Mrs. Eunice Onetta Segars Hagler, a resident of Skipperville, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at her home. She was 86 years old.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hagler will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, September 26, 2026, from Salem Baptist Church with Reverend Harold Peters officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church Saturday from 9:30 A. M. until service time.
Mrs. Hagler was born February 9, 1940 in Skipperville, Alabama to the late Corbitt D. Segars and Ella Johnson Segars. She worked in the Dale County Probate Judge Office for fifty-four years, serving as Dale County Probate Judge for thirteen years. Eunice loved to travel, bake and especially enjoyed spoiling her granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shellie Hagler; her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Leonard Heath; her brother and sister-in-law, Gene Segars and Christine Segars Hunt; and sister-in-law, Melba Kate Segars.
She is survived by her daughter, Schella Shipes (Terry Sneed) of Ozark; her son, Keith Hagler of Houston, Texas; her granddaughter, Macy Prescott (Dylan) of Midland City; and her brother, Bennie Segars of Skipperville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 368 James Street, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
