Mrs. Geraldine Paulk Fralish, a resident of Ariton, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at her home. She was 93 years old.

A private service was held for Mrs. Fralish with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Condolences may be expressed at www.HolmanFuneralHome.com.

Geraldine Paulk was born in Dale County on February 6, 1932, to the late Mavis Earleen Sutton Paulk and Jessie Clement Paulk. Her brother, James, was three years old at the time. She was married to Howard Harrell Chancey December 31, 1949. Harrell was a United States Marine and was killed in action on September 20, 1950. Geraldine graduated from Ariton High School in 1950. On December 24, 1952, she married Billy Ray Fralish. They had three children, Debra Shea in 1953, Vince Ray in 1960 and Billy Kevin in 1962. They divorced in 1981 and Billy died in 2013. Geraldine’s work career was primarily her bookkeeping job at Carter Manufacturing in Ariton for more than twenty years.

Geraldine was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Ariton. She served on the Bethel Official Church Board as Secretary/Treasurer for nineteen years.

Family survivors include: one daughter, Debra Alums (deceased husband, Larry) of Dothan, two sons, Vince Fralish (Kelley) of Ariton and Dr. Kevin Fralish of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Vantney Alums, Kade Fralish (Samantha), Candice Hales, Hannah Brown (Nathan), Zeke Fralish; great grandchildren, Hatton Alums, Preston Fralish, Mason Fralish, Ledger Hales, Landry Hales and Tucker Fralish.
